Press Release

Featuring a new concept, AWTTE 2007 will take place on December 6-9

“Venture Via Hospitality”

Beirut, November 6, 2007

The Arab World Travel and Tourism Exchange (AWTTE) featuring a new concept, “Venture Via Hospitality”, is scheduled to take place at BIEL Center in Beirut on December 6-9, 2007. It showcases the latest travel products in Lebanon and the Middle East. AWTTE is a unique experience offering networking channels between exhibitors and buyers in a friendly and social environment.

The opportunity that AWTTE presents to the Arab tourism industry is to act as a hub of lively discussions and business ventures for trade professionals, allowing participants to gain insight into the latest industry trends and network with government officials on subjects that matter most to this vital sector.

Lebanon’s attraction as a microcosm of international business and sightseeing activities makes it an ideal setting for AWTTE, which was initiated by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism in the last decade.

Exhibiting the Lebanese resilient market, which has prospered since the latest incidents into opportunities for infrastructure, investment, banking and tourism, AWTTE reveals the magnitude of how quickly Lebanon can re-establish itself as a favored tourism destination and a regional commercial center.

Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal took charge of AWTTE in its eighth edition, year 2003, with a 30% increase from 2002. The last edition registered more than 1700 squared-meters, 100 exhibitors and 6,700 visitors. In this year’s edition, AWTTE will reflect a new concept, “Venture Via Hospitality” offering trade professionals the marketplace to meet new partners from the Middle East.

Participants will have the chance to benefit from complimentary promotional and operational services through the public relations and networking opportunities offered by the organizer, Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal group. In addition, the extracurricular activities organized during AWTTE help participants set solid business interactions in a friendly and hospitable environment for a period that lasts much longer than the four exhibition days including familiarization trips, hotel tours, social functions and online buyer calendars.

Media coverage will be granted to exhibitors’ news in both official magazines of the show, Middle East Travel and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal. In addition, exhibitors will be able to insert their company profiles on the AWTTE Web Site and in the show catalogue. They may also invite their top clients a month in advance to the opening ceremony, promotional session, cocktail reception or their own product launching.

AWTTE 2007, organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal group in cooperation with Middle East Airlines, will take place December 6-9, 2007, at BIEL Center in Beirut.

-Ends
